Here’s your chance to help make London 2012 the most sustainable Games possible and join a world record attempt to get the largest number of people to offset their travel carbon footprint to a single event - London 2012.
Carbon emissions by London 2012 spectators are estimated to be the second largest category of carbon related to the Games. Two-thirds of spectator emissions will arise from spectator travel to the Games.
However, a significant amount of this spectator carbon footprint is, in practical terms, impossible to avoid or reduce. That is why BP Target Neutral – London 2012’s official Carbon Offset Partner – has committed to offset the travel carbon footprint to the Games of all ticketholders.
Every Games ticketholder is being invited to sign up at no cost with BP’s not-for-profit carbon offsetting scheme – Target Neutral – and to be part of the world record attempt to get the largest number of people to offset their travel carbon footprint to a single event – London 2012.
Visit www.bptargetneutral.com/london2012 to register and have the carbon offset for your journey to the Games arranged and funded.
